Mostly liked? Movie has one bad joke at your expense and it’s going to tell it over and over again. Haneke is clearly not a hack though and there’s some interesting stuff here - I’m thinking how the movie basically grinds to a halt two thirds of the way through with that long, still shot in the living room. Twist didn’t work - TV bad, we get it Mikey!

Really loved. Going to test your tolerance for insufferable fancy lads - there’s no crowd-pleasing disco soundtrack to help it go down smooth in this one. Arlo gave this 3 stars and I don’t think I saw him so much as crack a smile at any point here. On a certain level, screenwriting this fussy should probably bother me, but what can I say, I’m powerless to the movie’s charms.

A lot of stuff happens in this movie that is really tough to see. Rob Schneider performance is beyond grim and really explains a lot about what he's become. Also, the movie seems to think that Hawaii and Jamaica are the same? Soundtrack keeps oscillating between the most popular reggae songs on the planet and inexplicable reggae covers of the most popular non-reggae songs on the planet before you get the classic Ukelele "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" at the end.…
