The Menu 2022
I remember first watching this in the theatre years ago and I didn’t appreciate it enough at the time (small cinema brain Eric 2022).
Since then I am much more aware of restaurant etiquette (chef friends that cook, etc) and the analogies one can draw to real life.

Longlegs 2024
This is one I’ll tell my grandkids about. Finally a scary ass movie not from A24- shoutout to Neon production, you’ve made a fan out of me.
First 3 minutes off rip give you the chills and it really never ends the rest of the way. It’s a complete horror film with thriller/suspense and murder mystery all wrapped into one.
So many movies to think about as you enjoy this one:

Poor Things 2023
Hell of a film that paints a picture of a number of human experiences: love, emptiness, fulfillment, travel, lust, and the list goes on.
All this to say it’s done in such a twisted and creative way. I honestly could write a 2 page paper on this one.
Self-awareness and self-realization come to the human experience through so many ways, things, people, feelings, etc. You’d never expect to see it depicted this way.
Perhaps it is a woman’s world we live in…
