  Obv I didn't just watch this (or did I), but I think all the time about when my family watched it in 2008 - Magorium is telling Natalie Portman's character that he wants to give her the store because he's going to die soon, and when she asks how he knows he says that long ago he found a pair of shoes he loved so much that he bought a lifetime supply.   Three years ago I spent much of a day walking around Toronto with my now-wife, a few days before I was flying out to spend the summer working in BC. What can I say? This movie nails so much of what I felt that day.
