Saw this with my dad and we both laughed our asses off. A nice break from self importance and intellectual circle jerks during Oscar season. Less about AI and more about autonomy within a relationship. Reminded me of fresh with Sebastian Stan if it were an episode of black mirror.

I think there are some directors who tell stories like authors, and others who tell stories like painters. Lynch is a painter, surreal and living in a constant dream state. I’m not sure what a lot of my favorite paintings or painters are trying to say, or if they’re trying to say anything at all, I just know when I see something cool and this was pretty cool.
