Moonage Daydream 2022
Pretty enjoyable watch based solely on the fact that it’s full of really good music, but it’s hard not to take issue with how certain periods of Bowie’s career are depicted. In the 20 minutes or so it spends on the Berlin period, which Bowie would later refer to as “the darkest days of my life”, it doesn’t even hint at the fact that Bowie was suffering from crippling drug addiction and only eating a diet of milk and peppers. Unfortunately the film doesn’t want to engage with Bowie’s rougher side and is a lot less interesting as a result.
