I love Steel Magnolias more with Queen Latifah in it. Also the armadillo cake looks more like an armadillo this time. My anxiety appreciated calmer acting performances.

This film made me angry because I’ve seen so many Richard Linklater films and this did not feel like a Richard Linklater film. I guess it’s a Glen Powell film that Linklater facilitated.
It made me want to watch Kiss Kiss Bang Bang again for a Bette take on an average Joe who is in over his head.
