    - Adrian Brody was incredible. Phenomenal performance.
    - while the start and end events are both significant, I think this particular section of his life was an odd choice for a movie, I don’t think the movie sold me on this project being his defining one when he had such a fruitful career pre-war.     Maybe the smartest modern mainstream erotica of the decade. A dancing critique of girl boss feminism that does not hold your hand- it trusts the audience (what a fucking rarity). Really encapsulates the inherent contradictions of neoliberal capitalism- it craves fascism and the confident white man and will succumb to it always.

    A bunch of cliches rolled together with a ribbon on top. They really lost me with the doll bit. Some great (although not original) shots and good sound but just bad script writing. Ambiguity is less more scary and less lazy than a stupid explanation!

    Wouldn’t watch again but I think there were redeemable bits and it was a fun theater watch.
