really good at showing the underbelly of cities and people living in the in between places. The food stand as the place where the family comes together and returns to was really lovely. The hearth of the family!
I also liked how the monster is the only CGI object in the scene, of course it does not blend in but the contrast between the monster and the grime and realness of the city works much better than other monster movies I’ve seen.
