  The Amazing Spider-Man 2012

  I found this too similar to Sam Raimi's movie, considering the latter is only 10 years old. While I realise they are both from the same source material and there are certain things that need to be in the story, I thought it was too soon to redo the origin story. Having said that, I enjoyed it more than I expected.

  Cosmopolis has dethroned Hunger Games as the WORST film of 2012 so far, and is officially the worst film I've EVER seen at Watershed (at least Tree of Life had amazing cinematography)

  One of my favourites. This is a tragic love story and a body horror movie at the same time, and succeeds at both. I saw this many years before seeing the 1950s original, and both are great.

  At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul 1964

  I love this series of movies. Ze do Caixao is one of the biggest assholes in cinema history, played brilliantly by Jose Mojica Marins. It's a shame it took so long to make "Embodiment of Evil". In the 60s it would have worked as a great conclusion to the trilogy, but it doesn't work as well when translated to modern day Sao Paulo.
