This is typical modern progressive BS with an idiotic anti-masculinity message to it. I will say, there are some good suspensful scenes and neat glimpses into what the Wolfman sees and hears. The gore is pretty impressive too, but the use of jumpscares felt downright comedic at certain points. The whole film is quite tone-deaf. I noticed that the line readings from nearly every character (especially the titular Wolfman) felt like they were taken from the actor's first take. Everything…

    Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

    ★★

This is an unnecessary sequel that feels pointless in nearly every regard. It's a cheap imitation of the original that exacerbates all of the biggest issues that the first movie had. The family melodrama was boring in Beetlejuice 1 and they somehow managed to make it even worse here. I was expecting more out of the new cast members like Willem Dafoe, but he and the others were vastly underutilized. This movie fails to entertain despite having Michael Keaton's great performance and some cool practical effects. I wouldn't recommend watching this one in the theater unless you're a huge Beetlejuice/Tim Burton fan.

If children stumbling around with their toys in the dark is scary to you, then you'll be absolutely terrified of this! I seriously don't get the hype here. I can respect the distinctive filmmaking, but literally nothing of substance happens in Skinamarink. It's yet another piece of pretentious modern horror slop that critics love to eat up. Save yourself some of your precious time and avoid this. You'll thank me.

It pains me that this wasn't too successful. It's incredibly unique and fun to watch for a modern slasher. The characters (especially Justine) actually manage to stand out and be interesting too. The only big thing that holds the movie back for me is the first 25 or so minutes. It does a decent job at establishing the characters and the cult, but I feel that it's overly long and that parts of it could've rightfully been cut. The killers…
