If you've seen the original film I find it hard to believe you could watch this and simply say "yeah, that was a worthy remake, I really got something out of this". I'm going full Francois Truffaut here. I can't help but feel as though I happened to be looking for this exact film when I watched it, without realizing. A surrealist narrative that makes me question the reality of what's happening constantly, incredibly interesting and diverse characters, and an ending that truly leaves you stunned and jaw-dropped, resonating with you for hours afterwards.
