Shawshank redemption, step aside. There’s a new prison-based movie that’s stolen the top spot. Colman Domingo is absolutely sensational in this ~ the backstory behind the film is very touching, and I liked that it didn’t glorify violence or the prison industrial system. The actors are humanised, tender, emotional.

Absolutely loved this. Definitely made me feel nostalgic of my boarding school days! I felt the characters were all very deep, and we got an insight into all of their quirks. I liked the older setting, and how all of the unlikely characters ended up building a bond.

Possibly the most heartwrenching film I’ve seen in a long time. I thought the main character was serene and endearing, the exact epitome of never knowing which road is quite for you. The concept of inyun is heartening and maddening at the same time. Left feeling she should have been with her childhood sweetheart after all though 😭
