SYNOPSIS: A young woman tries to find her injured boyfriend in a bizzare and dangerous hospital.
This intense gorefest is best to be enjoyed if you go into it without any prior knowledge or set expectations, although the title itself should give you at least a remote idea about what you are in for. It’s evident that the filmmakers were inspired by renown Italian horror-master Dario Argento, which in itself increases my reaction score.

It started normal, but then it was very brutal and bloody, the scene of Bobby and his organs wtf crazy, the end was the same as other movies of this genre, I must say that this is a slasher. I liked it!🔪🩸🏥
It's rare to see a movie like this with a decent amount of budget, actual known actors, made in america, but still that bloody, gory and disturbing. That alone deserves some praise.
The gore quality and amount is good. The story is overall fine, probably a little bit too much story between the good parts for my liking.
Got some pacing problems at the beginning, the middle and, honestly, all over the movie. It feels longer than it is.
Still worth a watch, just alone for the gore.
Day 3 of September's Horror Scavenger Hunt. We are watching a horror movie that takes place on a minor holiday. (No Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Halloween, New Year's Day).
So what holiday did I go for. I opted for party party time Mardis Gras
Well it starts off with party party, for say 10mins. Then its a sobering bloody head cave in.
Whenever I see Robert Lasardo my tum clenches.
Sick bunch of lunatics all working for a Doctor who is deranged, with his heart set on curing his wife. I don't use the term torture porn but I'm sure this term has been used to describe this movie.
Robert Patrick plays the Doctor, there are flashes of Terminator 2 as he is unrelenting, determined, will he be stopped?! When he performs the lumbar puncture and then drinks the spinal fluid....good grief!

It’s gory, it’s violent, it’s deranged, it’s schlocky, but that’s about it? There isn’t a coherent plot anywhere to be found and there’s zero personality. I’m sure I would’ve loved this in middle school, but girl, I’m not that same person anymore LOL.
How they nabbed Robert Patrick and Jenette Goldstein is beyond me. But, even those two are barely giving a performance. Everyone else is interchangeably vanilla and milquetoast. So boring!
While the movie gets semi-better in the entertainment department as it treks along, it’s still insanely bad. A big ol’ mess. 3/10.
A fascinating documentary about the American healthcare system. I will now count down my 3 favorite parts:
3. Guy who looked at his porn mag by holding it up sideways and squinting, as though he had never seen boobs before and was trying to ascertain his feelings about them
2. When the doctor uses a little hammer to do the knee-jerk reflex test on a dead body, obviously gets no response, and then asks for a larger hammer. Hoped he would just continue to get cartoonishly larger and larger mallets until he was loony-toons style smashing a corpse
and finally
1. Spinal fluid shot, no chaser

while this movie did make me cringe a lot from the bad dialogue throughout, it actually wasn't that bad. it's an over the top bloodbath but who doesn't love that? this movie was definitely made for fans of gore.
After a long 30 minutes of dull backstory and protagonists with no personalities or motivation, sitting around blankly, not noticing that they've been abducted and trapped in an evil hospital.... yeah, once that 30 minutes has passed, Autopsy gets down to the business of being a gore-splatted, problematic, squidgy exploitation slaughterfest.
Robert Patrick is fun as the evil dr., and there's some majorly gross gore & torture scenes to make up for the lack of story.
There's also a ton of toxic green color everywhere to give you a nice hint of Re-Animator vibes. Fun & fleshy.
I love this flick. Opening is lame but the action picks up immediately and continues throughout to the end. A load of gore and blood. EFX are pretty good. Movie location in an abandoned hospital is great. Michael Bowen, Jenette Goldstein, Robert LaSardo and Robert Patrick all make for a batch of evil villains. Jessica Lowndes is excellent in the lead. The movie gets crazy at the end but it is still a lot of fun.
