this short made my day, it was so soft and tender, from the plot, the cinematography to the color palette.
there’s one scene that’s still stuck with me, it’s when Mostafa felt the need to masturbate right after he prayed and he just went to cover the religious signs in front of him, it was a choice rather than him going away or smth, it just shows how careless he is towards these stuff but he still considers them, and he wouldn’t have to deal with them if they weren’t shoved down his throat (by his parents in his case) also the way he prays really made me feel seen lol, that’s how you would pray if you feel like…
lili says the titles look like something i'd design and i'm very flattered.
such a beautiful and charming short that ill be thinking about for a very long time and telling all my friends about !!!
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I'm in love with both of these men and I am hereby submitting a request to the universe that I get to be a part of their fictional relationship.
Really sweet, loved the way it looked & the soundtrack. This is a film that is funny and smart and pretty and important and INSPIRING!!! to me. Titles were suuper cool. Thank u!!
What a perfectly cast movie. And I absolutely adore that plot description.
fateema if you’re reading this i’m the photographer from tops your film was magnificent and you are so so cool
This is funny and sweet but also the moment his mom showed up I felt the bone-deep mortal terror that only an overbearing mother in a hot pink hijab can inspire in me
When you can tell a film is set in Toronto even though they barely leave the shop.
this was cute and beautifully shot
Beep, beep, bitch! A true delight of a spectacle about sparks and longing and soap operas.
I'd watch 6 seasons and a full-length of this.
