  Sobbed so fucking hard at the conclusion of this incredibly ambitious short film.

  A girl sacrifices her body and indentures her mind to science, becoming a sort of biological usb-drive for a deep space expedition determined to contact extraterrestrial life. In suspended animation, the girl's life is diminished to an interface between the voice of her handler, Bernard and her mind, as it conjures images in response. This premise is fascinating enough in it's own right and I fully expected Laboury to explore these ideas in a more rigorous, didactic way though he instead interjects the narrative with flourishes and then a deluge of emotional eruptions. The girl's secrets, desires, dreams and disoriented memories chafe against the reason driven…
