Its not great, but it tried. Low budget and obscure straight to video 90s trash. Kolobos tries to be edgey and cool yet fails because of its convoluted story. What a mess, its if the real world was haunted. In the movie Kolobos means mutilated, kind of like the script lol.
The characters are all extremely unlikable, but we do see some decent gore and a few interesting kills. Unfortunately Kolobos offers us nothing new. And that ending, woof. So many possibilities and thats what you went with?? Only worth a watch for indie horror lovers.

Somehow I don’t think I had ever heard of this?! And it wasn’t on my haunted house movie list, which it is to a degree. It’s also a MAJOR time capsule of 90’s everything so that helped me love it a lot.
The acting is absolutely some of the worst I’ve seen on something that wasn’t SOV and even then it’s still possibly the worst. Like the faux raver chick (you know the kind that loved the fashion but wouldn’t ever actually go to a rave), she was painful, but it was fun to watch!
Also some very nice gore even if you can see the actors breathing or moving in every closeup shot where they are supposed to be…
Damn, this is the most fun I've had with a slasher since watching Stitches for the first time back in September. I'm usually quite critical of the genre, since so many film makers exploit it to get away with being downright lazy. But, despite its poor marketing, Kolobos transcends its surface level description.
Kolobos is a cold-blooded, psychologically charged slasher with a simple premise and claustrophobic setting. This flick has such a malevolent aura with its nightmarish imagery, creepy sound design and disquieting psychological undercurrents.

A very fun giallo-inspired slasher with moody, colorful lighting that soak you in. It's much gorier than expected and there are some inventive moments too, which is cool. While the performances aren't that great, especially the lead, the dreamlike quality of the film elevates it above most 90s slashers. Perhaps the whole reality tv thing isn't developed thoroughly enough for me and it takes quite a bit for the story to really pick up, but once the blood starts spilling, this film is super creepy and fun. Most of the kills are creative and brutal with some decent practical effects. The score is decent as well. Highly recommend checking this one out. Definitely a bit of an underseen gem.

Wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. The bad acting is unforgivable at times but the kills are brutal so it makes up for it, as soon as the first kill happened I was immediately sold.

This was way more gruesome than I thought it would be, good for them with those practical effects - they make up for the atrocious acting. For a low budget indie this was impressive. It’s basically The Collector but with a ‘Big Brother’ twist.
Also, Tina is the most 1999 character I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
Butterfly hair clips, purple frosted lipstick, baggy jeans with stars going down the side seams, ill fitting - screen printed - ringer shirts that look like they’re from the kids section at Sears.

A 90s horror film I had never heard of. Perhaps that's because it's a low budget effort with bad acting. However, it has an interesting concept and good gore. So it balances out. Also I got lots of nostalgia from the 90s aesthetic.
Someone needs to remake it in a messed up Air BnB though.

Starts off with music very similar to Suspiria. An intriguing story which gave me a frown headache whilst following along. Her drawings were amazing, mind you if your living there....alarming.
Lots of darkness, lethal traps, and some gross razor cuts. Ooooh my head.
