Gonna be honest, I don’t really get the hype for this. Was it good? Yeah. Was it anything groundbreaking or best picture worthy? Not really. It didn’t have a whole lot to say imo. The acting was by far the best part, excellent performances all around. Not to mention, the majority of the plot revolves around the rise and acceptance of brutalist/modernist art and architecture, which is objectively ugly and devoid of inspiration; it should not be supported, much less appreciated.

This whole movie was heartbreaking but this in particular tore me apart. After watching The Gentlemen I knew I had to watch more of Guy Ritchies films. This one certainly did not disappoint and is a clear predecessor to The Gentlemen. Ritchies style is unique and incredibly entertaining to say the least.
I cried quite a bit which is usually a pretty good metric so I’d definitely recommend
