The term "masterpiece" often gets thrown around too often nowadays, but Jonathan Glazer's The Zone of Interest truly is remarkable filmmaking.
It's not a masterpiece in the sense that it excells at providing a thrilling narrative or engaging 3-dimensonal characters. Instead, The Zone of Interest excells at creating a chilling, unflinching, original and complex depiction of evil, without ever showing a second of malice or violence.
