Richard Linklater must be an incredible listener because the way people speak in his movies just feels so raw and real. The guy just gets how to create connection through communication.
The term "masterpiece" often gets thrown around too often nowadays, but Jonathan Glazer's The Zone of Interest truly is remarkable filmmaking.
It's not a masterpiece in the sense that it excells at providing a thrilling narrative or engaging 3-dimensonal characters. Instead, The Zone of Interest excells at creating a chilling, unflinching, original and complex depiction of evil, without ever showing a second of malice or violence.
