  sticky fumblings of discovering what the world has to offer when and if you allow yourself curiosity in spirit and openness in mind.  a profound example of what imagination brought to life via film looks like. this is the kind of movie that reminds me why I dream what I dream. a fast favorite, all hail Stone and Lanthimos.

  a major accomplishment in filmmaking. one of my favorite films of the last decade. movies shot from first person perspective run the risk of pretentiousness, and this never felt that way. I often wish I could capture moments and memories from my own personal 50mm lens - my eyeballs! - to have and to hold, to keep and to cherish, which is exactly what Nickel Boys does; pencils in the ceiling, a warm embrace, pain, and fear, envisioned directly from the mind, heart, and human experience of our protagonists. brilliant. RaMell Ross and Jomo Fray should be revered en masse.
