I really enjoyed this one. The last two were good, but they really seemed to pull out all the stops on number 3 and I was onboard with it!
There were a lot of gags and references that are meant for adults and kids won't get, but that aren't necessarily inappropriate for a kids movie.
I was not a fan when they cast Jim Carrey originally, but he really has made the role work and the makers of the movie…
So many emotions.
Hits differently now as a parent with a 10 year old child too.
I felt about this one kind of the same way I did about Dune. I left feeling really heavy due to the tone of the movie.
The quality and art of it all was through the roof, but I was having trouble deciding how much I actually liked it. Now upon reflection, I know I liked it. It was just a lot to take in upon initial viewing.
Unintentionally, I somehow managed to follow up the most serious Batman movie to date with the most ridiculous Batman movie I've ever seen.
But I'm happy I did. The dichotomy was perfect.
