I think I saw this once when I was 13 and totally didn’t appreciate it for the fucking masterpiece it is. This has aged so well and the fight scenes are objectively cool. Love it.

Heroin Bob dies in the first one and then in the second one his ghost proceeds to explain punk from a super patriarchal/hetero/white/middle-class perspective. I am so embarassd that anyone thinks that this is what contemporary punk is about. Even the soundtrack was bad.

After L dies this series really goes down hill. I think it suffers from the same thing any TV series suffers from in that they tried to stretch out a good thing until it wasn't good anymore. The end was pretty satisfying but there's nothing I hate more than TV series that jam a whole bunch of new characters in at the end. All in all, I always knew I could trust Matsuta.
