    An interesting watch for sure...

    After years of WTF YouTube short films and Adult Swim infomercials, its impact probably has diminished, but I can't imagine how unsettling it must have been to watch Channel Four and stumble upon this in 2000. I'm not really familiar with British TV, but I find it crazy that some of this stuff actually aired on television.

    It's a shame that this movie didn't become a huge modern cult classic with a large following (yet), because it has it all. It's entertaining as hell, really funny, violent, has a truly unique yet riveting plot, is a beautiful love letter to movies, and gets surprisingly moving towards the end. A fairly magical experience. And it happens to contain the catchiest ad jingle of all-time.

    Temple of Doom often gets labeled as the "dark" one, but I don't think it's considerably darker than the first film (after all, Raiders had its fair share of violent moments, and this one balances things out with more explicit comic relief characters like Short Round and Willie).
