Seven Samurai 1954
May the spirits of cinephiles haunt me, but I sadly couldn't get into this.
It would be foolish of me to even try to dissect Seven Samurai on a technical level, as everything that can been said about this revolutionary film has already been said. Mickey 17 2025
Mickey 17 is the latest installment in Bong Joon-Ho’s anti-capitalist series. This time in space.
Thematically it’s closest to Snowpiercer, and tonally to Okja. Of course, Mickey 17 is its own thing and there’s no need to compare it to other films. I’ll just say that following up Parasite was no easy task, but it’s the task the director passed quite well. This film is incredibly funny, witty and crazy. Mark Ruffalo once again proves he excels in unhinged villain…
