Presence 2024
There is an excellent man inside of you. I would love to see him soon.
In the genre of heart-wrenching ghost movies, Presence unfortunately feels like a shadow of A Ghost Story’s full bodied haunt of depression.
That being said, Presence is still an interesting little experimental film in its own right, with a perfect length and a cool, haunting atmosphere.
I quite liked the performances and family dynamics, particularly the subplot of Chris Sullivan’s character.Growing up is realising ghosts aren’t scary, they’re just sad and confused.

Seven Samurai 1954
May the spirits of cinephiles haunt me, but I sadly couldn't get into this.
It would be foolish of me to even try to dissect Seven Samurai on a technical level, as everything that can been said about this revolutionary film has already been said. I can appreciate Kurosawa's magnum opus, and I'm thankful for it. I mean, without Kambei's constant head-rubbing, would Jon Bernthal be where he is today?
I'm glad there weren't 14 of them; otherwise, this would go on for like seven hours.

Anora 2024
I'm so glad I went into this movie blind, as it turned out to be an absolute blast full of unexpected turns. I had no idea it would end up being one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
The theatre experience was seriously phenomenal, with everyone laughing almost nonstop throughout. From the moment Igor, Garnick, and Toros made their entrance until practically the end of the film, the laughter never stopped. Dudes became immediate contenders for the greatest film…

Mickey 17 2025
Mickey 17 is the latest installment in Bong Joon-Ho’s anti-capitalist series. This time in space.
Thematically it’s closest to Snowpiercer, and tonally to Okja. Of course, Mickey 17 is its own thing and there’s no need to compare it to other films. I’ll just say that following up Parasite was no easy task, but it’s the task the director passed quite well. This film is incredibly funny, witty and crazy. Mark Ruffalo once again proves he excels in unhinged villain…
