  it’s a classic for a reason - superb atmosphere and a memorable cast of characters, at least for the ones who aren’t glorified cannon fodder. the plot drags a bit once the Cybermen actaully show up, but the tension and atmosphere keep it flowing well. i’m glad toberman gets to be the hero even if his “hyper masculine strong mostly silent servant” character is uhh. not a great stereotype to say the least. also yeah *the* scene with 2 and Victoria is great. iconic for a reason

  Doctor Who: The Evil of the Daleks 2021

  Tempted to give it five stars for the Dizzy Daleks alone. It lags a bit in the middle for sure, but it’s hardly enough to bring this story down too much. The alchemical themes are such a spectacular way to handle the sci-fi, and we haven’t really seen the intersection of two time zones like this before. It’s a story full of some great set pieces, and everything takes on this incredible atmosphere once everyone arrives on Skaro. The animation is definitely flatter than the previous two stories but only with the characters - the Daleks and environments are quite well done

  very happy i finally got around to this. no insightful thoughts to share just thought it was a really beautiful movie. more films need to look like they were shot on old cameras or whatever gives this the fuzzy little grain to the picture
