  My 60th film of the year and what a way to catalogue it.
  Harakiri is meticulously crafted and one of the best directed films I have ever seen.
  An intricate character study with Kobayashi embodying his anti-authoritarian views through the main character of Hanshiro.
  One of my favourite factors is Kobayashi's beautiful approach of criticising the present with a view of the past.
  Every frame is meaningful yet beautiful.
  An immaculate and enticing build up which never feels slow but…
