Not reviewed on letterboxd in a long time and I’ve come back to it purely to review this film.

Not necessarily a masterpiece from any technical
perspective (however the cinematography is v good), the reason I’ve rated it so highly is how emotionally impactful the film was.

First time I’ve actually cried at the ending of a film in years ngl, the true story behind it is conveyed really well through the film and it portrays the impacts of what…

Watched this in a pitch black room with nothing but the TV.
Mad film, so much in it was gruelling to watch, the fact most of the horror was inferred and not directly seen really captured the genuine confusion and fear of war.
This all actually  happened 80 years ago which makes it even harder to watch.

Really good film, story was proper interesting and it all fit together at the end perfectly.
The ambiguity of the ending was also fantastic.

Decent film, but the story lacked in parts and got quite slow towards the middle.
Also the culmination of the plot wasn’t executed greatly and slightly fell flat whilst seeming to skip alot of areas. Lots of plot points left out that could’ve added to the story.
Al Pacinos character was brilliant and so was Lady Gagas and Adam Drivers. Jared Letos character however was strange.
