    Ne Zha 2

    Holy. Fucking. Shit.

I have absolutely no idea what this movie is about, but not for a moment did my eyes leave the screen. Truly phenomenal. I can’t wait to just look at any and all of this movie again: never before have I so quickly bought an art book. In fact… I don’t think I’ve bought an art book before?

God, I keep remembering parts of it and having my mind re-blown.

9.5/10 Ideas for me to steal for D&D

    Watch Ne Zha 2.

    The Running Man

Rewatched in preparation for a 2025 Edgar Wright remake and now I’m so hyped. There’s some truly hilarious comic potential in here, I’ll be gutted if they cut the camp. Some truly iconic Arnie lines, and even meta references. Dude’s a unit.

    It’s actually kinda brilliant.
    I mean… obviously it’s nonsense.
    But it’s brilliant nonsense.

    8.7/10 Running Men

What the fuck is going on with Dynamo guys? A trouserless opera singer wearing a Perspex Spartan helmet? Am I missing something?? Is there a through-line here I’m not seeing?? I don’t understand how any of this links together!!

Towards the end I was trying to figure out if Ken is the villain, but I think like… The System is the villain?
The Billie Eilish song passed me by the first time cos I was too busy already having an existential gender crisis, but it got me like a…

    Spirited Away

It’s a slow start, and the parents are… irresponsible… but oh when it gets going.

One of the most enjoyable movie experiences of my life. I thought Spirited Away was one of those ones I didn’t actually need to watch cos I basically knew it all already, and I couldn’t have been more wrong. Miyazaki keeps you guessing at every opportunity, and even when there’s no opportunity to be found! Way scarier than I thought, but every character mentioned I was…
