Upping my rating to 5 stars. Time has allowed me to better understand, relate, and  connect to this film. I hadn’t seen this in forever. Rewatched it with my wife, who was watching it for the first time ever!

The cinematography and the camera work are just on another level. It’s so creative and so unique, standing out even now in how it is shot so I’m sure it was like someone created a brand new cinematic language when this first…

Joachim Trier’s third installment into his Oslo Trilogy is an unabashed, complex, raw look into millennial malaise. It is one of the most human character studies I have witnessed portrayed on film.

I have seen many reviews on this site stating that Julie really isn’t all that bad and so the title doesn’t ring true. I disagree. Although I wouldn’t categorize her or anyone else in this film as “bad” (besides Julie’s dad. He’s walking, talking, breathing garbage), this film…

painfully funny, tragically heartbreaking, all too real. Mike Leigh's direction refuses to spoon feed anything to the audience, and instead decides to trust in the audience and hope that there is some semblance of radical empathy still out there in the world somewhere.

I can think of 3 different nominations in the best actress race that should have been given to Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

I think this could’ve easily been a 4 star film for me but the ending was fairly anticlimactic and unsatisfying. I don’t mind open ended, non-resolute films but it just felt like an awkward way and time to finish the movie.

absolutely harrowing, I just always pick the best things to watch before bed lol and as a recent father who decided to stand my ground and pick 1 piece of furniture for the place (a really cool light fixture lol), this was a sort of surreal experience lol.

The cast was great and the film feels like it was able to do a lot with the limited locations . Much of that is due to the premise, but they really…

absolutely insane I am so sorry for ever doubting Mr. Miller. This feels like doubting Cameron and being proven wrong. My goodness. Total adrenaline pumping through my veins like pistons, and simultaneously so zany and hilarious that even during the balls-to-the-wall action you may forget just how dangerous the situation is until an act of brutal violence sobers you up real quick. The world is so well crafted, and Miller constantly one-ups himself with perfect timing that can only come…

Just in complete awe. Murphy, RDJ and Blunt are the standout performances in a film PACKED with power players. Casey Affleck, although probably only on screen for 4 minutes total, was so icily menacing that he distinguished himself amongst the 180 minute runtime. Happily surprised at the amount of Safdie we were blessed with. Pugh made her mark and provided both comedic relief and tragic despair. I have to stop myself or I will go on forever…
