  A brilliant film that shows how you can do so much with surprisingly little. Almost 100% driven by a delightfully charming yet also creepily disturbing performance from Hugh Grant who is one of the most intriguing characters I’ve seen in a while.

  In this bizarre year where it just so happens that three versions of Pinocchio are released, it's a big relief to know that the year saved the best for last. This is a film that perfectly balances as an adaptation that takes more inspiration from the original book than most yet still being a different and unique take on the tale.
