The Inglorious Bastards 1978
You want to see Nazi’s getting killed? This delivers on that a shit tonne. The body count is insane. Just a near constant barrage of solid action with shootings, explosions and stabbings galore all done by a fun cast of misfits.
The train sequence finale in particular is very well executed. It lives up to part of its title as being glorious B movie entertainment.

Mad Max: Fury Road 2015
I agree with Hideo Kojima. George Miller is God.
Action filmmaking at its finest. Emotion and excitement all captured through amazing imagery and sound. Even after 10 years Fury Road still hasn’t been topped on the insanely creative action spectacle it has achieved without skimping on the story and characters to keep you invested in the car-nage.

Ronin is just a terrific action movie. They don’t make them like this anymore, the craftsmanship on display for the genre is astonishing. It’s a tightly plotted thrill ride with compelling intrigue, an ensemble cast at the top of their game and some of the most thrilling and expertly filmed action scenes put to film (those car chases holy shit).

It’s a satisfying spy story that shows an important piece of development for Bond’s character. It’s stylishly filmed and edited, got a banger of a score with an amazing Bond girl in Diana Rigg and the best incarnation of Blofeld in Telly Savalas.
Now George Lazenby. He’s not my favourite Bond but I still love his performance. He…
