this (soulless?) (movie?) might not be worth a review or serious thought. But just came out of Roxy screening’s Q&A — observed Peter Vack not knowing how to engage with his own art or with criticism, preferring snarky retorts + hiding behind a comically pretend-cool exterior — and felt empty as I was leaving. Sitting through this will make you meta-level sad for anyone who has sincerely created anything ever. Now giving it the benefit of the doubt: Maybe this is a movie for an audience that doesn’t actually want to watch a movie, but something else entirely.
