I love this movie for the way it interacts with my mind. The movie inspired in me, what felt like a telepathic conversation with the screen about existentialism. Got me in an anthropological and spiritual headspace which kind of felt like I was downloading wisdom or something. Odd because it felt like I should be bored but wasn’t. Reminds me a bit of Annihilation by Alex Garland.

Cate Blanchett is a phenomenal actress. Her portrayal of a psychotic genius is brilliant, vibrant, and engaging.
It’s important not to try and understand every little detail in her dialogue. She’s a genius speaking on musical theory and references we don’t understand, but that’s part of the lure. Her performance makes us want to try to understand her.
This film is a little chaotic, but I think it’s meant to be so that we can relate to her experience on some level. Kind of reminds me of Crying of Lot 49 (if anyones read that).
