Am I reading too much into this movie?
After watching A Nightmare on Elm Street last night, I did not like the ending. But after thinking over it, I'm wondering if the movie has something much more profound going on. If Reagan-era America can be criticized for falsely propping up the economy with junk bonds and creating this hyper-commercialized culture, then maybe the movie is about the generation of teens in the 1980s who have been handed a raw deal…
