    I'm not sure I would ever want to watch this again, but it's certainly a well made movie - very funny to think of Steven Spielberg finishing his goofy Temple of Doom movie and then sitting down and saying "I should make a thoughtful meditation on the external and self inflicted struggles of blacks in the post-reconstruction south".
