  Brilliant and daring Lanthimos. Great work from Emma Stone here. The script, clothes, and the visuals are really excellent. The fisheye shots were not necessary, but mainly I found Mark Ruffalo annoying.

  The Quick and the Dead 1995

  It starts off great and keeps it going well for a while - there's a cool who's who cast, some younger looking than expected. It does play a bit parody a bit spaghetti western, but mostly it works. After a while the duels get repetitive, the script runs out of storytelling, and I thought it dragged some - but it ends with a bang.

  Superb film. Elegant. It goes about storytelling differently and it is really more than a police procedural. Very good cast and performances. Great visual setting is a bonus.

  This movie is terrible. There's a long list of things that don't work, very poor direction, a really awful script, mostly OK cinematography but with a lot of silly effects that ruin it, and as many pointed out, it is unnecessarily long. It is sad for Ana de Armas, since she does a great job as Marilyn and deserved a better director. The rest of the cast does a forgettable job. Could Ana get a best actress Oscar despite this being an awful movie ? Anything is possible in Hollywood.
