i don’t think i have watched this since it was out in theaters, but i’ve been listening to a lot of “what went wrong” lately and their episode on deadpool made me want to revisit it. there’s a lot i enjoy about it, but somehow i don’t think i found it as engaging as i did that first time. some really funny moments, though, and ryan reynolds really is the perfect deadpool.

i cannot believe i haven’t logged this before - it really has been a while since i’ve watched it. and i have so much fun with it - though yes i recognize its problems (women in the film, also how luc besson is trash) and my own personal issue with stories (will true love save the day!!!! eyeroll). but i love the look, the settings, the costumes, the characters, the action - bruce willis is so adorably badass and blond,…

see what happens when you give bela lugosi a good role, let him play dracula again? he does a REALLY good job. and this is in an abbott & costello movie.

i can’t believe lou costello thought this script was so bad. it’s such a perfect idea to have the monsters played straight and just throw the abbott & costello wackiness into it.

a classic, a family fave, i am pretty sure this is the film that actually introduced me to dracula, frankenstein’s monster, and the wolf man as a kid.
