I spent the whole drive home thinking about this film, and ultimately fell on the side of really like, but don’t love.
The good: Robert Pattinson, the humor, Naomi Ackie, the Creepers
The bad: the length (was never bored, but felt it dragging), some of the storytelling, and some of the plot points. Also the underutilization of Steven Yuen
Not bad, but odd: Mark Ruffalo’s inability to keep JFK from creeping into his Trump accent

What a visually stunning achievement. I’ve never seen such imagery on screen before. But what separates this from something like Avatar: Way of Water is that the story does not suffer to put visuals at the forefront.
Timmy Tim is on another level here. One I certainly never saw coming. Rebecca Ferguson was so fleshed out and might have been my favorite storyline. Zendaya is toned down from Rue and the ability she shows in Euphoria, but more directed. Josh Brolin, what a king.

After a few weeks of constantly nitpicking movies I’d seen, it felt nice to walk out having had an enjoyable experience. Some minor issues, but overall this was one of the best theater experiences I’ve had this year.
Cailee Spaeny has fucking got it. She’s putting out banger after banger and is quickly becoming an actor that can get me in the theater without any other knowledge of the movie.
