The one film you can call a train wreck and consider it a good thing.

    Blade Runner 2049

    ★★★★½

This is a film in which the story, sights, and sounds come together in a truly remarkable way. Nearly every frame is photo worthy due to the creators attention to lighting, detail, and color that together completely immerse the viewer. Even in it’s slower moments, audiences will be completely captivated by this mystery/sci-fi film due to it’s amazing cast, Hans Zimmer’s impactful score, and 2049’s immersive world.

“We’ve made a movie that we hope is really a work of art. I mean, both in the visual look of the film, but also, in the storytelling of the movie.”- Blade Runner 2049 Producer, Andrew Kosove

I don’t care for musicals and the most likable character being the villain is somewhat of an issue. Hercules as a whole is a decent film.

Note: The cinematic score was good at times, but that’s as far as my compliments go toward this sequel. 10/15/22

    Avatar: The Way of Water

    ★★★

Did Way of Water look good? Obviously. Did it transport viewers to another world? As intended. Did it outshine the first? No. Overall I was not as engaged with Way of Water as I was with the original. In the run time of two films, I felt the story barely progressed. I have a feeling that in the future, we’ll be able to view the original Avatar and the third film back to back with little narrative explanation needed.
