It was an enjoyable re-telling of the classic fairytale of Rumpelstiltskin. Overall, I think the casting was perfect and the acting was on-point.
The three act structure in the film ‘Daughter’, ‘Queen’, ‘Mother’ seemed to reference Hecate, the three faced goddess in Pagan folklore (Maiden, Mother, Crone), which I felt was a very nice way of connecting the story of the ‘fae’ Rumpelstiltskin with the witchcraft of Paganism.

Great film - one of my top films of the festival!! Loved the characters and that it was a serious film that didnt take itself too seriously!
Would highly recommend to any ghost film lovers.

One of my favourites so far from Frightfest! It was very much a show-not-tell kinda film which I greatly enjoyed. I liked that there was a lot of it not completely explained, allowing me to form my own connections in the story.
Some of the effects, in particular the eyes, were very creepy and made me feel very uneasy. I liked that although the ending was conclusive, they didn’t show the aftermath of the film (as in the authorities showing up etc) which left the story thoroughly imprinted in my memory.

Saw the Scottish premiere at Dundead 2024. Highly disturbing but a very good watch. The entire length of the film I had no idea where it was going which was very refreshing. The ending left me feeling unsure about Kelly-Anne’s motive as she revealed the evidence but did so in a very disturbing and weird fashion that made in unclear as to what she was doing.
