  Didn't know what this was about going into it. At first I was weirded out by the subject material but thought ok yeah they’re just exploring the dangers of abuse and how abused men are treated differently, cool. Then I found out after I watched it that this is based on a true story?

  One of the biggest messages in the movie is how we exploit people for entertainment...but this is a true story so they're saying “Look how this actor exploits a victim for entertainment! And we are doing the same thing, too! But it’s ok because we’re aware!” ?? wtf? Feels gross

  Change is hard, and there's so much to change both in ourselves and around us. It's hard to believe that things, and especially people can change, but with even just a little bit of sunshine they can :)

  There are a lot of themes here that would seem hard to integrate in a cohesive story, and Eric struggles at times but in the end it somehow pulls it off

  An incredible performance by Cumberbatch, maybe his best
