This movie marked our final viewing side by side. Things were falling apart, so watching it together felt like the cruelest moment imaginable. Whether it was coincidence or not, I'll never be certain. It hit me harder than any movie ever had.
11 years later, I gave it another watch. I wanted this movie to rip me apart emotionally; oh, I was READY to go through it all again. Instead — I laughed a lot. Yeah, I teared up, of course I did.. but rather than breaking me down, this movie actually helped mend something inside of me.
