Daaamn she convinced me. I wanted to believe it, like everyone with Elizabeth Holmes, so I wanted to think a robot could feel love. I thought the chess analogy was perfect actually for this movie. It totally explained the whole situation for me. I also didn't like anyone in the end: Nathan was a dick, Ava used Caleb, and Caleb is sad and alone again.

Whatta film. The not so underlying gay undertones and the camera work and the suspense really made the entire class freak out. The scene when the maid is cleaning off the chest/coffin/closeted homosexual relationship really made the entire class go, "uh oh ooohhh noooo don't do it ggeeeeegghghgh." The still frame with a long depth of field so the audience is still and helpless to watch the uncovering of the secret adds to the suspense and is personally my favorite use of the camera in this movie.
