I was disappointed by this movie. The plot felt stretched out, key scenes in the movie were left unresolved, and most importantly it was SO predictable. Obviously, Kyoto knows what is happening and is going to come back to hurt Nathan. Ava was manipulative from the beginning and I did fall for her attempts to make Caleb/the audience have sympathy for her.

Rope 1948
When watching Rope, I was really intrigued by the characters and their dynamics. I think that Hitchcock's choice to film the entire movie in one setting made you feel like you were very involved in what was going on which added to the suspense. Also, I like that Hitchcock attempted to use long shot style, but I think some of the cuts were really obvious and it made the scene kind of awkward and confused the viewer as to why we were looking just at the fabric on the back of Brandon's suit....
