  I’ve always had certain issues with self-professed ‘true story’ films. To take real people or events and acknowledge certain falsehoods in the narrative, even if in a reflexive way, is one thing (as with Oliver Stone’s JFK - hmmm….), but to present something as entirely true in the way that Midnight Express does is problematic to me.
