Imagine a David Lynch film, but instead it’s 18 hours long. Therefore not only is it a challenge to follow along, but by the time you get towards the end of the series, you forget things from the beginning, and as it gets more confusing your brain just can’t handle it. How the hell did him and Mark Frost write this? I also feel like I didn’t ‘understand’ the ending, but that is the same with most of Lynch’s work. Wow, weird.

House 1977
Considering how bizarre and weird this film is, it makes a surprising amount of sense. I think, to be honest I was so tired when I was watching this and the music was so beautiful and calming I struggled to stay awake and so might have missed stuff, but it was still a fantastic experience and balanced a really odd style of slapstick humour with mind-bending and psychedelic horror really well. Some of the shots were also absolutely stunning, and I want to watch this again to fully grasp it.
