The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 2004
Even if the impact on this rewatch was slightly lessened for me as I was feeling tired and have probably watched too much SpongeBob recently, I still think this movie is genuinely freaking amazing and it shoots by. SpongeBob and Patrick are incredible in this movie, the new characters are really fun and THAT one scene makes me cry each time. Klaus 2019
When I first watched this back when it came out, I liked it, but I wasn’t too invested in the story for whatever reason. From watching it three times this Christmas, I think its more subtle and grounded approach to storytelling and character development has really started to click with me as I’ve gotten older. Klaus is such a comforting film. It isn’t the funniest Christmas movie I’ve ever seen, but it doesn’t need to be. Its visuals and character dynamics are perfectly wrapped up into a typically lovely festive atmosphere, and it’s absolutely gorgeous and amazing. Can’t wait to watch this every Christmas on repeat!
