Warched 1917. That was beautiful, horrific, terrifying, gut- and heart- wrenching; there's no other way I can describe it other than that was filmmaking at its finest.
Go see this film.
"I am a poor wayfaring stranger
Traveling through this world below
There is no sickness, no toil, nor danger
In that bright land to which I go
I'm going there to see my Father
And all my loved ones who've gone on
I'm going over Jordan
I'm going over home."

Enjoyed the film. While I appreciated the talent behind - and in front of - the camera, the constant time jumps throughout hindered my emotional enjoyment of the film. If one did not already know the source material, some of the characters decisions and motivations could come off as contrived. At times this felt as if it was a "best of" scenes from the book, leaving me wanting more room to breath and grow with the March women.
However, the film was still impressive and the talent, immense. Would still recommend this film to any who wants a good tale.
