Lots of great character performances. Especially, ESPECIALLY nic cage. Unrelated but where can i buy junior's tank top with the little submarine windows under the arms

The Boy in Blue 1986
i have a LOT of thoughts about this movie. There is nothing new or novel about it - it perfectly fits the jigsaw template of a sports movie. But the stakes are so low, and the shenanigans are so high, that it sort of ends up being a treat to watch. Costuming and dialogue were standout. I couldn't say that I loved this movie, or that I'll remember it (editing a compelling action sequence out of a sculling competition is an uphill battle) - but by god I was entertained. I guess you could say it buttered my beans.

this thing was always gonna be a mess - the suburban paranoia, the writing, the tonal dissonance between Cage and the other actors - but the pace keeps up and there's enough sauce here that I can't bear to give it less than 4/10.
Could have been a 6/10 with an ounce of decent female repTranslated from by -
Bulworth 1998
rare that a movie i enjoyed as much as this one would also be so so SO hard to watch.
I think my favorite part of this movie is how hard everyone around Bulworth tries to rationalize him. The language they use is so funny. Even the fucking movie summary on Letterboxd does it - "affecting the rhythms and speech of hip-hop music and culture?" Dude. Come on.Translated from by
